Almost there...

So I leave tomorrow for my home in Hiroshima prefecture, but still no apartment yet. I will most likely stay in a hotel for a few days. Bummer, but nothing I can do about it really (except for go broke). My JTE (Japanese Teacher of English/my supervisor) and another teacher from the school will pick me up at the airport. I am excited but so nervous to meet them, especially Toyota Sensei (my JTE), because we have emailed a lot and I'm nervous what he will think of me. Hopefully it will go well and they can understand me! I need to brush up on some Japanese! EEEK!

I have posted a few pictures to facebook of Tokyo, so I suppose I can just post the link here rather than put them in the post.

Hopefully that works ok.

I am a little nervous about flying tomorrow, but I will be with the other ALTs from Hiroshima, so at least I won't be alone. I am learning so much at this orientation but it's all a little overwhelming. I hope I do okay when I first arrive!

Missing home but still not too bad, too busy to think about it, and feels like when I'm in Chicago. Hopefully I don't get it too badly, at least till around the holidays.

Ahhhh, Tokyo...

Well, I'm about to run to breakfast here at the Keio Plaza hotel in the Shinjuku neighborhood of Tokyo, but wanted to start up and say HI and I'm here. Orientation starts today, so I'm all dressed up and ready to go! Went out into the area last night for some food, but got a good night's sleep and not feeling jet lagged (as of yet!). Hopefully it doesn't hit me later! I've taken some Tokyo pictures so those will be up soon! Missing everyone at home, but not homesick quite yet because of all the stuff to do! :)
